What is Marine Biology like?
I’m a junior in high school and have been considering pharmacy as a major in college basically because pharmacists make good money and I had no other ideas of what I wanted to do. Marine biology has been in the back of my mind for a while, but I’m not sure what the jobs are actually like. I enjoy swimming, fishing, water sports, animals, and the outdoors in general, and I was thinking marine biology or oceanography would be a career that I would enjoy; but I’m not sure what marine biologists do (as in to carry out their research), whom they work for, or what I could expect to make. Money isn’t really as important to me anymore, but I want to make sure that marine biology is something that I would actually like to do. Any help would be appreciated.
